Also 1 Greenshank with 9 Goosanders north of the viaduct in the afternoonin reply to: Arnside Estuary Birds #3945Yes Squirrels are good swimmers and it’s not the first time I have seen Grey Squirrels swimming across the Kent.
Also 2 Great White Egrets on the estuary today and 3 sightings of the Osprey.
Osprey last seen perched on a partly submerged tree branch opposite Arnside pier for over an hour in the afternoon after high tide.

Shelduck – over 150 at high tide
Little Egret – 10
