      Osprey – 1 flying near Arnside railway station in the afternoon
      Great White Egret – 1 in the morning
      Shelduck – 150 at high tide
      Cormorant – 24
      Black tailed Godwit – 1 with Redshanks near the pier
      Plus 100s of Redshanks ,Curlews,Oystercatchers and lots of Mallards
      Grey Squirrel swimming across the Kent to emerge near Ashmeadow promenade

        I saw the Squirrel John, very odd. I thought it was an Otter for a while!!

          Yes Squirrels are good swimmers and it’s not the first time I have seen Grey Squirrels swimming across the Kent.
          Also 2 Great White Egrets on the estuary today and 3 sightings of the Osprey.
          Osprey last seen perched on a partly submerged tree branch opposite Arnside pier for over an hour in the afternoon after high tide.
          Also
          Black tailed Godwits- 80 at high tide
          Shelduck – over 150 at high tide
          Little Egret – 10
          Wigeon – 2
          Plus the usual Redshanks, Curlews and Mallards
