Amazing point blank views of 13 twite in the horse paddock below Bay View Garden Centre this morning SD48026871. Came to within 3-4m of me watching from the tidal road. In my opinion this is easily the best place in our area for getting close views of twite as they often come to this road or even inside the paddock to drink from puddles or scavenge the tidal debris. Also 28 Skylark, 3 Linnet in the same area and a near miss from a male sparrowhawk targeting the twite.

2 water pipit mid afternoon. One on the spoil following digger all afternoon, very close at times. In the next few weeks the machine will move to the other side of the pool which should give closer viewing opportunities as these are currently quite hard to see from the hide
