                  Farleton Fell is also well frequented by Green Woodpeckers. One heard yaffling there on my last visit – 27/12/21

                                  Forgot to mention a few butterflies here and there on the fell tops yesterday too. 2 Peacock and 2 Small Tortoiseshell.
                                  As Stephen noted, nice to see the waders back on territory, including a few Oystercatchers south of Abbeystead
                                  Large numbers of LBB gulls on Hawthornthwaite Fell Top – in the hundreds, maybe half as many on the top of Brennand Great Hill
