I forgot to post a rather bedraggled hobby flew across the road in front of me on Friday 30th June on the road between Borwick and Tewitfield just before the Longlands Hotel. Good views from close up. Surprised to see it flying in heavy drizzle.

Yesterday at 4pm at Torrisholme CC 6 curlew over high up, all together, heading for the shore. Presumably from local fields and fells. A lot of 2nd cut silage going on recently.

Today at high tide at Teal Bay, 3 F eider, about 30 lapwings (some juv), 12 oystercatcher, a little egret, 25 bh gull and a herring gull, and about 30 starlings. Everything sheltering on the N side of the rocks out of a stiff breeze.
