My impression is that the number of Lesser Whitethroats is down so far this year – the weather has been cooler and wetter in SE Europe recently, could that be a reason?
However, numbers of Sedge Warblers are up, a slight increase in Willow Warblers and Common Whitethroats seem to be on a par with recent years.

Agree with you about Sedge Warbler numbers. I’ve been finding more than usual, some in locations where I’ve not recorded them before. Willow Warbler numbers have been impressive this year too.
