Spotted flycatcher seen morning of 23rd in the scrub adjacent to the cycle track behind Collingham Park, Scotforth. This is my second spotted flycatcher here, the first being about 10 years ago.
Barn owl seen quartering around Conder Pool at dusk on the 22nd and 23rd.
Aldcliffe – my first visit for a couple of months. There was some work going on in the fields. It looked like Frog Pond field was being turned. I am assuming that this field will become a maize field to replace the previous maize field, which is now grass for silage.
