      I made two visits today. The highlights incuded;
      A Greenshank on the marsh
      2 common whitethroats singing at Weedy Corner.
      Lesser whitethroat singing in hedge along the sea wall.
      2 adult Med. Gulls flying together north over the marsh – might be worth checking Freeman’s Pools.
      25 swallows at Wildfowlers’ after the rain stopped and more swallows with the occasional sand and house martin.
      LRP on the Flood.
      12 eiders on the Lune.

        A visit on Sunday morning revealed:

        4 raven, possibly a family party, interacting over the marsh and making those wonderful croaking sound that ravens make.
        2 female wheatear on the salt marsh.
        What I think was an Egyptian goose flying over the salt marsh to Snatchems.
        A reed warbler new in at Bank Pool.

          I mid-identified the exotic wildfowl seen flying over Aldcliffe Marsh. It was actually a ruddy shelduck – sorry seeing Dan’s message about the one seen in the vicinity of LM prompted me to check its identity.
