      The male Blackcap is continually around and has become quite territorial. Tempting to think it’s the same individual as last winter.

      A Chiffchaff added to the warbler count this afternoon. Had a regular one a couple of years ago so will be interesting to see if this also calls my oasis “home”.

      Two Robins together seem as though they are making an early claim for one of the nestboxes.

      My garden is only about 8m x 8m amidst several “wildlife unfriendly” gardens so it’s quite satisfying to have two warbler species in the garden in early January.
