      Yesterday:

1050 on the Lune estuary between ‘Glasson bowling green’ and Aldcliffe Marsh, with best flock (a roost at SD450561) numbering 320.

All on the water or roosting on the mud. I hardly ever see any actually grazing the marshes any more. Any ideas why? Perhaps it’s all done nocturnally of late.
