Our morning walk (9am to 11am) along the Bare Seafront and through Happy Mount Park
On the sea:
3 whooper swans first seen off Jenny Browns Point then drifted past the Kent Estuary and off towards Grange.
3 great crested grebes
34 eider
3 shelduck
7 wigeon
6 red-breasted merganser
24 greylag geese flew over north to south
Wader comparison numbers – 76 turnstone, 34 dunlin, 20 ringed plover, 29 redshank
HMP had 2 nuthatches, 2 jays, 2 goldcrests
Pre-half-term there were 60+ mallards, today 21.
