On the falling tide from the cycle track by the pylons this afternoon were 6 adult and 2 juv whooper swans paddling in the current facing upstream but getting nowhere. very vocal and bobbing their heads up and down. My wife watched for a bit then commented that they looked and sounded like an old fashioned mechanical toy. Not a million miles from the truth if you think about it.
