Evening meal made all the more enjoyable when c100 Black Tailed Godwit arrived on the edge of the mudflats to have a wash and brush up in the flood tide, large percentage adorned in beautiful chestnut red.
Later we were both taken by surprise when a large flock of Martins went past the window c60 in a fading light, were they Sand or House, I would guess House Martin but!!!, travelling SSW, could be looking for an overnight roost maybe. Most unusual but a superb few seconds.
