      West Shore/Middleton Wader Roost.
      40 Brent Geese feeding on the marsh, a good sign, I think the grass length is to their liking, is this looking good for future years!
      Lots of Curlew, Knot, Dunlin, Grey Plover, Redshank, Wigeon, Shelduck and Oyster Catcher, big flock of Linnet and Twite, no count due to heavy snow falling and resembling an Arctic landscape with the tide flooding the marsh, much different to the norm.
      Estuary Sightings Today.
      600 Curlew
      152 Oyster Catcher
      440 Wigeon
      480 Redshank
      1,800 Golden Plover (Brilliant sight in the afternoon sun)
      570 Dunlin
      750 Lapwing (Suspected a lot more on Chapel Bank running behind Glasson Dock out of sight from S/Pt)
      9 Goldeneye
      2,000 Bar Tailed Godwit
      68 Shelduck
      15 Turnstone
      2 Little Egret
      2 Heron
      2 Red Breasted Merganser
