1 Rock Pipit – Wood Bridge, Lades Marsh
7 Mediterranean Gull – 5 (4 adults, 1 2nd winter) Lades Marsh, 2 adults west of Sunderland Point
2 Osprey – 1 flew ENE over Sunderland towards Glasson Dock, then continued north up the Lune Estuary at 9.30-9.35 am. Another was perched distantly on driftwood west of Sunderland Point at 10.35 am
2 Peregrine – on posts west of Sunderland Point
3 Lesser Whitethroat – around the small pond at the top of ‘The Lane’
1 Great White Egret on the north side of the Lune Estuary west of Bazil PointNo Curlew Sandpiper or Little Stint among 11 species of wader along the edge of Lades Marsh at high tide.
Waders comprised Lapwing, Redshank, Dunlin, Curlew, Oystercatcher, Golden Plover, Ringed Plover, Turnstone, Knot, Black-tailed Godwit and Snipe.A large shoal of Mullet were feeding off the First Terrace just after high tide (per Alan Smith)

Refering to the large shoal of Mullet, how interesting would it have been if they had been visible as the Osprey was flying over. -
