Skerton Weir to Aqueduct, west bank only, 08.45 – 10.45.
Song thrush 2, Great, Blue, Long-tailed, Coal tit. Nuthatch 2, Treecreeper 2, GS woodpecker 1, Goldcrest 3, Chiffchaff 1, Chaffinch 2, Greenfinch 5, Bullfinch 1, Siskin 30, Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Grey wagtail 2, Starling,
Mute swan, Teal, Mallard, Moorhen 5, Goosander 3, Little grebe 2, Grey heron 7, Cormorant 5, BH Gull 11, GBB Gull 1, Herring gull 9, Common sandpiper 1, Redshank 1.
Crow, Magpie, Jackdaw. Sparrowhawk 1. Wood pigeon.Might go and twitch your Common Sandpiper Steve– which part of that stretch was it on?
Common sandpiper was on the small area of mud at the southern tip of the island as seen from the marshy bit just off the path at Skerton.
