Over the past couple of weeks upon my arrival the two resident mute swans are often in the middle of Halton Road! The traffic either stops or manoeuvres around them (one bloke stopped to video the scene, presumably for his facebook feed!) On one occasion I arrived to find the police present, blue flashing lights etc it had been called in as an emergency. I told the police not to worry as I would escort the culprits back to the river. These swans are very impatient for their breakfast and go on the search for bread providers.
