      River Lune SD54 area, stretch of river roughly below Brookhouse, to pipe bridge and back towards Caton.
      This is a new patch for me which I will visit weekly. I will also visit Lawson’s and Aughton Woods etc and when I find time Caton Moor.
      So far I have been familiarising myself with the area.
      Little egrets present with 5 seen roosting.
      Grey heron 2
      Goosander 3 ad f plus 6 fledged young.
      Sand martin, colony towards Caton, and I think another one up river?
      Common sandpiper 7 counted one day and saw 2 fledged young birds.
      Green sandpiper 1
      Kingfisher 1
      Mallard 40+
      Moorhen 3
      Reed bunting 4
      Grey wagtail and Pied wagtail good numbers not sure of figures yet.
      From now on I will take a note book with me!

        Hi Steve

        This is SD56 (and mainly SD56H) not SD54. Some really good sightings on your list. SD54 is the Garstang area.
