Had a walk from Potts Corner to the village at high tide today. Apart from usual wader spectacle on the 9.8m tide…

      Highlights were:
Female Merlin going past the wader roost, seen from the hide

About 10 Twite in the muddy cow fields between Sambo’s Grave and Potts Corner

A ringtail Hen Harrier hunting over the fields closer to Potts Corner, putting up a flock of Black-tailed Godwits and other waders.

Flock of Brent Geese (I didn’t count them properly, but I think Garry said 29, he saw the same birds I guess while WebS-ing!) seen from the hide near the wader roost.

Sorry not to stop and say hello Andrew…it’s always manic trying to count the birds from the point to potts corner as the tides push in. Lovely and clear to see them yesterday ! I couldn’t find the Twite yesterday so great to know they are around.

No worries! I only really realised it was you after you’d gone past, and when you posted about the Brents on the WhatsApp!
