On Saturday morning from Arnside prom, I saw a Grey Squirrel come across the estuary from the Grange side. I picked it up in the scope about 400 yds out on the exposed sand and mud. It came steadily south, paused at the creek and after a couple of false starts swam right across the creek coming ashore by the turning area at the end of the prom.
Remarkably, or maybe not so remarkably? (see previous post by John Bromley) another squirrel came across the exposed mud 10 minutes later 300 yds further west!!
As a relative newcomer , wondering if this is a known phenomenon?
