At least 3 bitterns booming throughout the day, audible from Causeway and reserve paths. There are a minimum of 5 birds booming on the site currently.
Great white egret – 3 birds seen today inc 1 in full breeding clobber (black bill, pink thighs etc) and another on its way…
Influx of sand martins early afternoon with c30 birds feeding over the pools
