After 31 little and 3 great whites leaving the roost on the blustery morning of 3rd October, gave it another go this morning. The little egrets had dropped further to 24 and the great whites remained at 3, the weather was perfect. Both mornings otter sightings included both singles and 2 together.
JBP 10.30 – 13.30. 100 pinkfeet flying N at 10.45, a handful with about 200 greylags on the salt marsh;
5,200 oystercatchers, 120 lapwing, 290 knot, 50 dunlin, 9 black-tailed godwit, 1 bar-tailed godwit, 670 curlew,
1 spotted redshank, 195 redshank, 4 greenshank;
peregrine.
