      Thanks to Nick for leading and to everyone else– a very enjoyable session, if chilly at 3 degrees with a light but cold southeasterly.

      Pink-footed Goose: c8000 which reluctantly left the roost, ESE quite late in the morning!

      Curlew c220

      Whooper Swan c130 left roost, mostly SE and N

      Pintail c70 near goose roost

      Rock Pipit 26 rose from marsh to flew inland (for no clear reason, but hunting raptors might have been be a factor)

      Long-tailed Tit 11 Lane Ends

      Goldcrest 5 Lane Ends woodland

      Reed Bunting 4

      Little Grebe 2 Lane Ends pools

      Buzzard 2

      Hen Harrier 1 (fem type)

      Marsh Harrier 1 (fem type)

      Merlin 1

      Sparrowhawk 1

      Great White Egret 1

      Next field meet is birding by bike Dec 9th (see meetings in site banner)
