      JBP 11.40 – 13.25: 3 rbm, 191 pintail, 20 mallard, 210 wigeon, 6 eider, 4 scaup (1m, 3f/juv) 31 shelduck;
      pinkfeet – skein heard at 12.40, 4 on sands at 12.50, skein towards Heysham at 12.55, 100 flying S at 13.25 (after 350 – 400 flying N over house in Silverdale around 8.00);
      22 cormorant, 3 little egret;
      26 bar-tailed godwit, 18 grey plover, 150 knot, 55 dunlin, 6 lapwing, 127 curlew, 195 redshank, 200 oystercatcher;
      grey wagtail.
      2 unidentified waders with redshank, at distance; looked like 90% redshanks in terms of size, beak size, and body colour (slightly paler); showed no wing-bar when flying out towards Arnside, but lower back/rump looked slightly paler than wings; reminiscent of birds we see when visiting family in Canada, but too distant to get any leg colour or definite id.
      Peregrine N over garden later in afternoon.
      Report of significant number of waders off Silverdale today, around high tide.
