Ongoing accretion at Silverdale Shore is leaving more shoreline exposed at higher tides than say a year ago. So after today’s count at JBP (10.50 – 13.30) I went to Silverdale Shore (13.45 – 14.00). Any counts made at Silverdale Shore are given in brackets behind the JBP count.
      1 heron, 41 (56) shelduck, 221 wigeon, 14 (8) mallard, 7 (6) pintail, 25 eider, 9 rbm, 177 (83) oystercatcher, 9 knot, 25 (176) dunlin, 1 (4) bar-tailed godwit, 39 (7) curlew, 49 (45) redshank, 2 turnstone.
