Brief high tide visit this afternoon. Fewer cars and people around than during last fortnight, the majority social distancing locals walking from the village.
Along with usual oystercatchers, redshank, curlew, shelduck, and gulls, 41 eider, 12 dunlin, 3 knot, 8 cormorant, 4 wigeon, 12 mallard, 1 little egret, 6 shoveler, 1 peregrine, and 8 rbm (comprising 1 pair and a group of 6, 4m & 2f, with the males in energetic display mode). Spring around the corner? But we’ve had snowdrops in the garden since 15th December, and 3 daffodils out on 27th.
