Yesterday morning about 1050 I was at Teal Bay. On the groyne there were over 40 crows but I was surprised to see 12 jackdaws with them. Small numbers kept flying around and I didn’t realise at first that more were arriving until there seemed to be equal numbers of crows and jackdaws. Then about 11.10 a flock of 65 jackdaws arrived from the west and came down on the groyne but almost immediately rose up and flew on eastwards inland. This was repeated with another 70 and then 80 birds. It became difficult to separate incoming birds from out going at that point. I estimate 400 jackdaws must have passed through between 10.40 and 11.30.

Also 1 bar-tailed godwit and 13 black-tailed godwits, 2 pintail, 3 wigeon. 18 little egrets at high tide roost.
