Two chiffchaff singing on Barley Cop Lane by the Crem. Chiffchaff also singing near Miss Whalley’s Field, Freehold. Common buzzard on migration passage at speed 6pm S to N over Windermere Road about 200 feet up. Flap flap flap glide and repeat. Arrow straight heading North. Didn’t deviate at all until out of sight. Travelling so fast the local jackdaws hardly had time to get flustered before it was gone. They made a brief attempt to ball up and abandoned the effort returning to their chimneys.
