      Little Gull 1 2ndCY
      Goosander female with small chicks on river
      Mediterranean Gull 3 x 2ndCY
      Black-headed Gull currently 139 occupied nests, up by about 40 from last year
      Teal 1
      Common Tern 18. Now settling to breed with some scraping and mating seen. Also several returning ringed birds including one ringed as an adult in Senegal in 2005 which bred at Conder 2023 and Preston dock before that; one ringed at Shotton, Flintshire as a chick in 2017; two ringed in Teeside as chicks in 2016 and 2021.

        Wow, a 19 year old tern breeding at Conder Pool?! Is that just middle-aged for a Common Tern?
