      Thanks to Pete Crooks’ tipoff that he’d heard Common Scoter(s) over Lancaster around 2115 I gave it half an hour on my front steps and heard a small party heading East(ish) at 2245 and another small party over ten minutes later.

      Also heard a few faint Wigeon and Golden Plovers on the move but a female Tawny Owl more vocal and quite sedentary!
