Spotted between Hest Bank and Slyne by my daughter while out running early on Sunday afternoon. I don’t frequent that stretch, so don’t know if there are resident kingfisher.
Some years ago when we used to do WEBS for that stretch, we used to reckon the kingfishers came for the winter when the rivers got a bit rough, but canal banks are often very compacted so river banks can be better for breeding season.
