      Today, Tues 28th Feb 10-11

      Frog pond and opposite fields:
Spotted what looked like 65+ curlew at a distance. A couple of curlew close by easy to ID. passing tractor disturbed a flock into the air and they flew in formation up and down with black and white bars on wings. After baby Lucy fell asleep, I could hold the binoculars steady, and the flock moved to the front of frog pond I could ID at least 70 black tailed godwits feeding. There were also a few oystercatcher, Canada geese, swans and couple of dozen wigeon about.

      Wildfowlers pools and nearby:
Spotted a little egret at wildfowlers pools then a minute later a great white egret landed nearby then flew off again. Also spotted a couple of shellduck and a few teal .
