08.30-10.20 Rising tide. 2 great crested grebe, 2 pied wagtail (pair, probably nesting in rock armouring again) 3 goldfinches (apparently migrating along the seafront, stopping briefly on trees at Happy Mount Park before continuing east), 1 crow (south over the bay moderately high).
Happy Mount Park: Song thrush singing, 1 chiffchaff singing, 6 wrens, 1 bullfinch male.
Also 3 orange-tip butterflies – all females – in the Orchard.
