At least 8 Russian white-fronted geese and a ‘small’ Canada goose among the pinkfeet and greylags at Aldcliffe this morning. The birds were scattered across Frog Pond field, Heron Pool pond and the drumlins over into Fairfield, with a handful in the old maize field.
A single barnacle goose was with the Canadas & greylags on the saltmarsh.
6 black-tailed godwits flying around looking for open water / mud. All pools frozen = no ducks.
