Project Maize Field Lapwing project going rather badly but female still sheltering chicks near Wildfowlers Pools N (A4N).

Pair of Little Ringed Plovers and a Black-tailed Godwit on Wildfowlers Pools S (A4S) but little else with low water and recently increased drainage.

Yellow Wagtail (seemingly a female– or relatively subdued male) , three each of Pied Wagtail and White Wagtail on The Flood (A14) which has benefited slightly from yesterday’s rain.

Predictably little in the way of song in the strong, cold north-westerlies but a Chiffchaff, Lesser Whitethroat and Whitethroat heard.
