The next meeting at Hornby – starting at 7:30 – features an illustrated talk from our Secretary all about how he has made a (modest) living as a bird surveyor for the past 20 years. The speaker will lift the lid on the agonies, ecstasies, tips and traps of this shadowy world– the rarities found, the scarce breeders mapped and the injuries sustained taking in a plethora of projects from Kent to Caithness.
