Good numbers of blue tit, great tit & robin
Plenty of blackbirds, including a couple singing
1 bullfinch singing near Wyresdale Road
9 coal tits spotted/heard – the most I’ve had so far this year
Dunnocks getting feisty/territorial with each other on Fenham Carr
1 goldcrest singing on the Carr
      6+ nuthatches, including some singing
15+ rooks in the rookery at the bottom of the Carr (I counted 26 here at sunset on 5/3)
4 jays(!) chattering together in a tree nearby
2 mallards on Fenham Carr reservoir. Previously I’ve only seen moorhens using this patch of dead-looking water.
Also 1 wren and several each woodpigeons, crows, jackdaws and magpies

Duck pond: 43 mallards, 1 moorhen & 3 herring gulls
      No pintail today
