A few notable records from a lunchtime walk:
– Two siskin (m+f) on the feeders on Fenham Carr. There have been a few in the area lately but these are the first I’ve seen on these feeders.
– Singing nuthatch, goldcrest and chaffinch. Several singing dunnocks.
– 11 rooks in tall trees around where Quernmore Road meets Parkgate Drive.
All suggesting, in their own way, that spring is in the air…
