Wildfowlers pools wb 12/08/24

Seen last week visiting wildfowlers pools over several walks:
(Both pairs of egrets seen flying towards estuary together)

1 green sandpiper.
2 great white egret.
2 little egrets.
2 shoveler.
2 little grebe, 1 breeding plumage, 1 plain.
2 teal, possibly three
1 lapwing.
1 greylag goose.
Numerous mallards, possibly including 3, then down to 2 ducklings.
3 moorhen (1 juv)
1 black headed gull
1 pied wagtail

Seen overhead/nearby:
cormorants
Woodpigeons
Crows
Up to 10 martins
Up to 3 swallows
3 goldfinch

Freeman’s pool:
1 tufted duck
3 canada geese
1 coot
2 little grebe (wildfowlers?)
1 moorhen
