The Whooper Swan I’d assumed was dead. is actually alive and kicking, reunited with the other two at Sampool.
Also at Sampool: 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Red Breasted Merganser, 3 Tufted Duck and the Pink Foot Goose which has been here since Spring.
The adult Goosander and its brood of 12 young are still together. Another 7 adult Goosander nearby.
Three Raven were eating a dead sheep at Halforth. Also 2 Little Egret.
Heversham Moss: 2 adult Mute Swan and 5 cygnets, 1 Buzzard, 2 Stock Dove, 2 Sedge Warbler.
