27/3 – still 19 Whooper Swans in the Lune Valley near Melling which means 26 departed yesterday when a lot of other Whoopers made a move
27/3 – still at least 4 Siskin on the feeders at Claughton

26/3 – Rookery updates:
5 nests now at Middleton near the Glossy Ibis site
6 nests at junction of Caton Green Road and A683
11 nests behind Claughton brickworks

21/3 – nocmig at Claughton:
Common Scoter – several flocks over
Water Rail – 1
Woodcock – several calls relating probably to one bird
Moorhen – 2
Redwing – s
Oystercatcher – 1
Mallard – a local pair
Tawny Owl – 1
