A fair bit of of birding by bike on 26 January led to the following highlights;
Single Stonechats at Fairfield NR (A10E) and the canal near Glasson at SD451558.
One Woodcock, two Shoveler and 30 Siskin at a private site at Ashton (ASC17). A Green Sandpiper near Tarnwater Lane W in ASC9.
Four Rock Pipits and 5 Reed Buntings near Conder Green footbridge.
Male Merlin at SD479561 Highland Brow Galgate, pursuing 7 Skylark. Also 11 Lapwing (GG5).
A Brambling on uni campus at SD479561.
A Chiffchaff and 16 Tree Sparrow SD483582 Bailrigg Lane.
