      Blue-winged Parakeet 1
      Marsh Harrier 1
      Common Swift 19

      Insects:

      Red-veined Darter 1 male West Shore near Sambo’s Grave
      Clouded Yellow 1 NW

      Proven breeding, broods seen:

      Little Owl 1
      Lapwing 1 West Shore Marsh
      Redshank 2 West Shore Marsh (where also seven off-passage Dunlin)
      Swallow 2
      House Martin 3
      Linnet 4
      Meadow Pipit 4

      Probable breeding, pairs:

      Lesser Whitethroat 1
      Common Whitethroat 2
      Shelduck 2 West Shore
      Skylark 2 West Shore Marsh
      Stock Dove 2
      Sedge Warbler 5
      Reed Warbler 6

      Glasson Marsh 42 adult Eider

      I suspect the swallows and house martins were just the tip of the hirundine iceberg but I had limited time– Alan- roughly how many pairs of each do you have there this year? Cheers!
