      6.30-8.00pm on 18/3

      Whooper swan 59 headed north after sunset after a protracted period of calling and head bobbing on Middleton Sands, seemingly migrants departing. Others heard roosting but not seen
      Pink-footed goose 800 over West to roost
      Red-legged partridge 2

      Lovely still evening to listen to the waders and wildfowl on the estuary long after dark, including 2+ avocet.
