Little Gull – 2 2nd CY flew in to land on west bank of estuary north of Sunderland at c.3.50 pm, then flew off west c.15 minutes later. Presumably these were 2 of the 4 2nd CY Little Gull seen earlier at Conder Pool.
Eider – 32 spread along estuary
Ringed Plover – 40 mudflats north of the parking area at the end of the tidal road
Whimbrel – 1 by tidal road
Shelduck – pair with 6 recently hatched young on creek by tidal road, Lades Marsh
