      An anticlockwise walk around Sunderland Point (8.00 – 11.15 am)

      Golden Plover – 400 beside southern end of the tidal road on morning neap tide
      Black-tailed Godwit – 80 by the tidal road, including a colour-ringed bird that was ringed at a youngster in Iceland on 6/7/12 and which I had previously seen at Sunderland on 6/10/13 and at Conder Pool on 11/4/22.
      Whooper Swan – 16 flew south over the estuary at 8.44 am
      Raven – 1 north over the First Terrace
      Gadwall – 6 on the small pond just past the last house on the north side of The Lane.
      Shoveler – 1 female on the same pond
      Swallow – 1 over the Point fields
      Great Crested Grebe – 1 on River Lune towards Bazil Point on ebbing tide

      Also: 1 Merlin, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Stoat and 1 Roe Deer.
