      A morning walk along the tidal road from Overton to Sunderland:
      c.3000 Pink-footed Geese – multiple skeins heading N or NE over the Sunderland / Glasson area between 7.30 and 8.00 am
      5 adult Mediterranean Gull – on the Lune Estuary off Lades Marsh on the rising tide
      65 Bar-tailed Godwit – edge of Lades Marsh
      2 Great Crested Grebe – pushed up river on the rising tide
      9 Rock Pipit – Lades Marsh
      2 Merlin – 1 flew NE towards Bazil Point, 1 female-type on a fence post west of the tidal road
      1 colour-ringed Curlew – the regular bird between the First and Second Terraces
      8 Long-tailed Tit at the top of The Lane

      Heysham Nature Reserve – A 1 hour 30 minute walk around produced:
      1 male Blackcap
      1 Chiffchaff
      2 Redwing
      12+ Long-tailed Tit
      1 Jay
      2 Bullfinch
      28 Goldfinch
