Strathmore groyne, Morecambe – The long-staying female Scaup was relatively close inshore.

Red Nab, Heysham – 3 Pale-bellied Brent Geese feeding on outer edge of the exposed rocks at high tide, then flew off north at 9.30 am

Heysham Harbour – Disappointingly Friday’s ‘storm of the century’ had failed to displace a single Shag, Guillemot or Kittiwake into the harbour area. Presumably Storm Eowyn passed across the country too quickly to displace anything other than Friday’s adult Little Gull.

Golden Ball, Lune Estuary – Four wildfowlers with a collection of plastic decoy geese on Heaton Marsh, so no real geese.

Moss Lane, Thurnham – Still 2 adult Bewick’s Swan with 17 Whooper Swan in a field on the north side of Moss Lane, between Tomlinson’s Farm and Clarkson’s Farm.
285 Whooper Swan on the south side of Moss Lane
15 Whooper Swan west of Jeremy Lane
