There were 4 distinct starling roosts this evening in the Hala area. The Cockersand Drive starlings seem to have split and there is a break away murmuration that is roosting in trees off Claughton Drive. I could see another murmuration which looked like it dropped in to a roost at the top of Ingleborough Drive. The final murmuration was the largest and seemed to drop in to a roost at the south end of Abbeystead Drive. I would say that there are approx. 1500 birds in total
