9.15am over Freehold this morning. All the jackdaws clearly disturbed, calling and bunching in close shoals, pigeons and starlings too. Stepped outside to see what the cause was. A tremendous display from two male sparrowhawks and a large slow flapping female with screams and whistles, circles and dramatic vertical dives and rises. I’ve seen this before over this side of town but it never fails to impress.
